The best teams tackle the hardest challenges, and authenticity is essential for building trust, fostering open communication, and enabling collaboration. Energy spent being who you think others expect you to be at work is energy not spent solving tough problems. By showing up as myself and encouraging others to do the same, I create environments where people feel safe, valued, and empowered to do their best work.

Early Years
01 Early Years

I enrolled at Purdue in an exploratory program, continuing a lifelong pattern of curiosity and learning. I joined the Crew team, where success hinged on the textbook definition of teamwork. After graduating, I managed two restaurants, experiencing both inspiring and ineffective leadership firsthand, and learning early what it actually means to lead people.

My exploration continued through GE’s HR Leadership Program, a two-year rotational experience that grounded me in HR, leadership, and operations. After completing the program, I applied those fundamentals in my first standalone role as the HR leader for a remote manufacturing site.

In 2014, my dad died of lung cancer. That loss marked a turning point in my life and career and pushed me to seek greater purpose in my work. I found that purpose in mission-driven organizations focused on human health and well-being. In 2016, I left GE to join Promega as an HR Business Partner.

From Growth to Strategy
04 From Growth to Strategy

I joined Exact Sciences during a period of hypergrowth, supporting more than 1,000 percent expansion of clinical lab and lab support teams, and helping build the foundation for scaling HR alongside the business. I took those lessons to Generate Biomedicines, a startup leveraging AI and machine learning to develop novel protein therapeutics. There, I transitioned from a client-facing HR role into one focused on building durable people strategy and operations.

Today, I serve as the Senior HR Business Partner, leading HR for the United States at BVI Medical. This role builds on what I’ve done throughout my career, with broader accountability for HR strategy and the core responsibilities HR has to the organization and its people. I continue to partner closely with leaders doing meaningful, complex work at the intersection of health and technology, and I’m motivated by the scope of impact that comes with functional ownership.
